Conclusion of the 3 R's AND Kohl Children's Museum

This week, we concluded our 3 R's unit. I want to thank each and everyone of you for helping supply the materials for the unit.  The class thoroughly enjoyed manipulating all of the recyclable materials you provided.  We reused them in multiple ways including stocking the shelves of our class grocery store, cardboard boxes and materials stocked our block area, we created milk jug "gloves" to play catch, we used toilet paper tubes to make musical instruments, and the list goes on and on.  So again, THANK YOU, for your support!

On Monday, we had Rainbow Dog Therapy

Our field trip to Kohl Children's Museum in Glenview was a success!
Everyone had a blast!!!

🌎  Happy Earth Day (04/22)!🌎

Our Reduce/Reuse/Recycle Unit continued with a focus on Earth last week.
We water colored pictures of the Earth
We also colored the Earth with markers and completed the writing prompt-

It was great to hear everything the class came up with.  They're currently on display in the hallway.
We re-used plastic caps to practice creating sets and one-to-one correspondence
We recycled toilet paper tubes to make musical instruments.
We created flower creations with Ms. Liz
All of our talk about planet Earth led to the creation of a space shuttle out of blocks 🚀
Here are a few more block structure creations
We took advantage of the beautiful weather and had fun on Big Blue!
We'll be wrapping up our Reduce/Reuse/Recycle Unit this week.
We hope everyone has a wonderful week and enjoys the beautiful weather!
