What we know about insects?  AND  What we want to learn?

On Wednesday, Ms. Staci from the Park Ridge Library came to visit...

AND... a millipede!

What an awesome teachable moment!  We learned that millipedes are NOT insects but are arthropods.  We observed our millipede and then let it go in our courtyard.

Is it really February?!?!  You'd never know from the beautiful Chicago weather.

Our afternoon friends finished our last week of the snow unit and explored activities that we can do in/with snow. Due to the weather in Chicago (no snow in 5 weeks?!?!), we had to get creative to allow the students to experience "snow" activities.
