What a mess!! Those tricky leprechauns left a mess in our classroom.  The class graciously helped clean up the leprechaun's mess.  We talked about how it's not fun to clean up someone else's mess!

The wonderful world of insects continues.  This week we read the story Hey, Little Ant. 

The class has been helping us transform our classroom into a large scale environment.  Similar to what an ant would experience.  We have trees hung high and the students are helping us cut grass.

We also went on a hunt for insect homes around our classroom using binoculars.

We used nets to catch insects in the hallway!

Next week is Ms. Gina's last week.  8 weeks sure did fly by.  

Ms. Gina has taught us so much from snow, to friendships to insects :)

We've had a busy week, full of hands-on-learning!

This week we focused on learning the parts of an insect.

Ours ants have arrived!  We learned that our ants can bite/sting so teachers handled them with caution.  By putting the ants in the refrigerator, it slowed them down allowing us to place them carefully in their new home...our ant hill!
