Welcome to the world of insects.  We dived into our new unit by charting:

What we know about insects?  AND  What we want to learn?

On Wednesday, Ms. Staci from the Park Ridge Library came to visit...

AND... a millipede!

What an awesome teachable moment!  We learned that millipedes are NOT insects but are arthropods.  We observed our millipede and then let it go in our courtyard.
